Pastor Aloysious Bugingo is a man who speaks his mind and doesn't mince his words. The Salt Media proprietor, who is now friends with Pastor Wilson Bugembe, recently attended Bugembe's 20th-anniversary celebration concert at the Serena Hotel.
However, Bugingo has since called out Kampala's pastors and preachers for their absence at the event. He branded them as "fake" and "users" for not supporting their own.
Bugingo explained that Wilson Bugembe has preached at nearly every pulpit in Kampala over his 20-year ministry and therefore deserved to be celebrated by his fellow pastors.
"Pastors are fake. They are users and selfish people," he explained. "Pastor Bugembe has visited almost every church in Kampala, big and small, but when it was his turn and he needed people to attend his concert, none of them showed up except me."
Bugingo went on to praise Chief Traditionalist Maama Fiina and other attendees from all walks of life for gracing the event.
"They left the venue to other people from all walks of life. Maama Fiina attended the event and stood with Bugembe even though she is not a pastor—it was a learning experience," he added.
Bugingo believes the Kampala pastors should have attended the event and offered both moral and financial support to Wilson Bugembe.
