Socialite Zari Hassan’s boyfriend, Shakib Cham, is now on the radar of Uganda Police following fresh allegations connecting him to a violent robbery and assault incident at Chezz Boss Mutoto Bar in Munyonyo, Kampala.
According to a police press statement, the attack occurred on 27th December 2025, when a group of men allegedly stormed the bar, assaulted several patrons and made off with four mobile phones and other valuables.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that a group of suspects, allegedly led by one Shakibu, a businessman operating in the Kasanga area, descended on patrons at the bar, assaulted them, and robbed four victims of their mobile phones,” the police statement reads.
A case of robbery and assault has since been registered at Kabalagala Police Station, and investigations are ongoing.
Police further revealed that Shakib Cham has been officially summoned to appear at the station and assist with the investigations.
“In the course of the investigations, one Shakib Cham has been summoned to report to Kabalagala Police Station to assist,” the statement added.
Sources close to the matter claim the attack may have been retaliatory, alleging that the incident followed reports that city tycoon Boss Mutoto had recently been seen enjoying time with Zari — a claim that has sent social media into a frenzy.
As detectives hunt for other suspects still on the run, the scandal continues to grow, putting Shakib’s name and reputation under intense public scrutiny.
