Bobi Wine’s younger brother, Bajjo Man, has spoken out following a recent security raid on the opposition leader’s home in Magere, Wakiso District, and what the family describes as continued surveillance and intimidation.

In an interview with a local television station, Bajjo Man expressed deep frustration with security agencies, accusing them of using excessive force, particularly against Barbie Kyagulanyi, Bobi Wine’s wife.

“Why would they go ahead and brutalise the wife? Is it illegal for someone to contest against President Museveni? What happened was horrible and very disturbing,” he said.

Bajjo Man, who broke down during the interview, said the family is now living in constant fear, with members limiting contact with Bobi Wine for their own safety.

“I have gone for days without speaking to him. I don’t even know his whereabouts at the moment. We are in constant fear and don’t know who will be arrested next. Security personnel are always at our gates, surveilling us every day,” he added.

According to family sources, Bobi Wine allegedly left his home on 15 January and is currently in hiding due to what they describe as increased threats to his safety.

The family has called on authorities to end what they term as harassment and intimidation, saying they only want to live in peace.
