Musician Daxx Kartel has weighed in on the long-running rivalry between Cindy Sanyu and Sheebah Karungi, offering praise for both artists while subtly leaning towards Cindy.
According to Daxx Kartel, Cindy’s talent has always stood out—even during her time in the iconic girl group Blu*3.
“Cindy Sanyu is extremely talented. Even back in Blu*3, you could see glimpses of greatness, but she was limited by the group dynamics,” he said.
However, he was quick to also commend Sheebah Karungi for her remarkable journey in the industry.
Daxx Kartel highlighted Sheebah’s rise from humble beginnings, noting that she built her brand from scratch without the structured support many artists receive.
“Sheebah built herself from nothing. She earned her place at the table, and that kind of hustle deserves respect,” he added.
Cindy Sanyu and Sheebah Karungi have maintained a fierce rivalry for nearly a decade, with both artists consistently asserting their dominance in Uganda’s music scene.
Daxx Kartel’s comments now add another voice to the never-ending debate over who truly stands above the other.
