Musician Ykee Benda has emotionally opened up about the custody challenges he has faced involving his son.
Speaking in a recent interview, the singer revealed that he has not seen his son in nearly two years and currently does not know where the child is.
“As a man, I take responsibility for my weaknesses, but as a father, I know I did my best. I haven’t seen my son in two years, and to this day, I don’t know his whereabouts,” he said.
Ykee Benda admitted that issues in his past relationship may have contributed to the situation, but maintained that he has always wanted to support and care for his son.
The singer further revealed that the prolonged custody battle took a serious emotional toll on him, leading to stress and depression.
“Most of my stress came from custody issues involving my son. I couldn’t sleep, and when I saw a doctor, I was advised to reduce my stress levels for the sake of my health,” he explained.
He added that he has since stepped back from the fight in an attempt to protect his mental and emotional well-being.
