Government DNA results have shocked dozens of people who claimed to be the children of the late Ugandan music legend Paul Kafeero. Out of 25 people who took the test, only four were confirmed to be his real biological children.

The four confirmed children are Benedicto Kafeero, Simon Peter Kafeero, Thomas Swaz Kafeero, and Elizabeth Nagawa. Their late father was an iconic kadongo kamu artist, and his property has been at the center of a long family fight.

The DNA testing process was organized and supported by Balaam Barugahara, a powerful government minister and businessman. He pushed for scientific testing to bring a clear and final end to the messy family dispute. Balaam argued that without real DNA evidence, fake claims could ruin the estate and leave the true children with nothing.

The tests, which were done by government forensic laboratories, now give the four confirmed children a clear legal path to inherit Kafeero's property. This includes his music catalog, royalties, and other assets.

The highly anticipated results were publicly read out on Thursday afternoon at the police headquarters in Naguru.

This final ruling is expected to cause new legal battles from the 21 rejected claimants, many of whom have spent years calling themselves Kafeero's children in public.
