Popular comedians Sammie and Shawa have parted ways, bringing an end to their long-running comedy partnership following a fallout.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Sammie said the partnership was affected after Shawa shifted his attention towards pursuing a music career.
Sammie claimed that Shawa began attending performances without him, leaving him feeling sidelined and eventually forcing him to move on.
“He forgot where it all started and chose to pursue it alone. He has been going for performances solo, and I couldn’t keep chasing after him. It is over between us,” Sammie said in part.
There are also claims that Shawa channelled some of their shared savings into his music career, although the allegation was not independently verified.
Sammie said he is now redirecting his energy towards building his own streaming career, while Shawa continues to pursue music as a solo artiste.
The split marks separate paths for the two comedians after years of working together as a comedy duo.
