Singer Mimi Kampala has denied claims that she is romantically involved with fellow dancehall artist Kapeke, insisting that the two are only close friends.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Mimi explained that Kapeke is sometimes seen at her home because of their friendship.
She said she enjoys hosting friends and cooking for them, stressing that Kapeke’s visits should not be interpreted as evidence of a romantic relationship.
“Kapeke is just my good friend. I enjoy inviting people to my place because I like cooking. I am a good cook. Kapeke is only a friend, stop expecting anything more. Stop looking at things romantically,” she said.
Mimi also revealed that she is currently single and is focused on building her music career.
According to the singer, getting into a relationship at this stage could distract her from her professional goals. She joked that she may only consider dating in about ten years, around 2036.
The artist maintained that she is still young and wants to prioritise her career before making romance a major part of her life.
