Media personality Tracy Melon has explained that her recent weight loss is linked to health challenges and medication, dismissing suggestions that she deliberately changed her body size.
Tracy said falling sick affected her appetite, while the strong medication she took contributed to the loss of several kilograms.
“I lost weight because I got sick and when you get sick you lose appetite and yet you’re on strong medication so you end up losing a few kilograms,” she explained.
She also challenged the idea that gaining weight is necessarily a sign of good health, arguing that people should not automatically associate a bigger body with better well-being.
“Being fat isn’t a blessing,” she maintained.
A few weeks ago, Tracy revealed that she had been dealing with undisclosed health complications that had taken a toll on her physical and emotional well-being.
She described the experience as a difficult period, adding that discussing what she had gone through could still bring her to tears.
“I’ve had quite a rollercoaster health-wise this year. I have had to battle with health complications that it makes me cry just talking about it. I’m better now,” she said.
Although Tracy says she is now feeling better, she has not publicly disclosed the specific health complications she experienced.
