A 15 year old girl is being held by Police in Kabale for allegedly stabbing a 21 year old man to death.
Police identified the deceased, as Jackson Katashaya alias Kadogo, a resident of Rwabareera cell, Kitojo parish in Rubanda District who was stabbed by the minor after he broke into a bar in which she was sleeping a 4 a.m.
The girl told police that she acted in self-defense after a stranger broke into the building in Kiyora trading centre, where she was sleeping and attempted to rape her.
Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate says that Katashaya died instantly.
