Bobby V, better known as Bobby Valentino, is listed as a suspect in a rape that allegedly took place in Georgia last week.
According to TMZ, the singer was named by a woman who filed a report in Cobb County, Georgia on Monday (March 19). Law enforcement sources tell the outlet the investigation is ongoing so details are being withheld from the press. However, reps for Valentino say they’re pursuing legal action against the woman and are calling the case a “weak yet calculated attempt to obtain financial gain through ulterior motives in the matter.”
“Bobby takes any allegation against women very seriously. However, false allegations damage true victims of sexual abuse,” the rep added.
The news of Valentino’s rape investigation comes just a few weeks after he released his latest album, Electrik, spearheaded by the Snoop Dogg-assisted single, “lil bit.” The last time Valentino had a run-in with the law he was accused of using the services of a prostitute and not paying up.
