Ug records bosses, Henry Ssali and Darius Mugisha are venturing into bar business again.
Asylum bar is located in Sonde, a Kampala suburb.
According to the insiders, the bar will be hosting a Ugandan night every Wednesday as away of promoting local talent.
Ug Records is now managing Wendy Kisakye and Roger Gent. The label managed Rabadaba a few years ago.
It should noted that a few years ago, Asylum was one of the most lively hangouts outside the city centre.
After closing Asylum Bar & Lounge along Namugongo Road, the management boought Madiba in Kiwatule and renamed it Asylum. It was launched in April 2015 and it was the final destination for young corporates that stayed in Kiwatule, Najjera and neighbouring areas.
Later, they sold it off after it lost clientele to other emerging bars at the time like Nexus.
