Upcoming musician, Record Era Butida, was arrested a week or so ago alongside Charles Obalim, commonly known as Sipapa.
The reason for their arrest is yet to be known. But sources say he is investigated over crimes linked to money laundering.
Butida’s mother has come out to plead for the release of his son from prison saying that the singer has been helping her financially and now she has no assistance.
The old lady says she battles diseases like diabetes, and pressure and only her son was supporting her with medication.
“I beg anyone who can help to ensure my son gets out of prison. We have not spoken in weeks. He had promised to pay off my loans,” the old woman narrated.
Bida was working with Sipapa as his music manager.
