A few months ago, Record TV, one of the longest-serving TV stations closed doors due to failure to break even for many years.
Rumors have been circulating that Sudhir Ruparelia bought the TV station but our source confirmed to us that he opted out at the last minute.
The TV was then bought by Pearl FM boss who is also the owner of Tagy Hotel in Kampala at a tune of Ugx 800M.
Veteran radio presenter Herbie Kay has been hired as the station manager. He is currently putting together a team that will commence work before November.
The new TV Station will be known as Tagy TV.
