On Wednesday, musician Pallaso made a call to his fans on social media to help him raise 100M to rescue his Range Rover from URA. The car is allegedly currently held by the tax body due to uncleared taxes, and the singer could lose it if he doesn’t pay.
Pallaso has been criticized by many for trying to copy Davido who made a similar call to raise over a billion.
Pallaso has so far raised 1M and his father, Gerald Mayanja sent Shs 64,000.
He tweeted, “I need Ugx 100 million to rescue my range rover from Uganda Revenue Authority. If you are my big fan, if you love and appreciate what i do and wish to help me rescue my car…THANK YOU".
Many had predicted that he wouldn’t raise even Shs 500,000 but he has put many to shame.
