NBS presenter, Mc Kats confirmed that he is HIV positive two years ago.
He has since embarked on a campaign to help create awareness about the HIV scourge on top of fighting stigma and discrimination.
During the End Aids 2030 campaign ceremony on Thursday afternoon, he was recognized by the Uganda AIDS commission for his efforts to sensitize the public against HIV.
The keynote speaker, King Oyo Nyimba of Tooro Kingdom handed the award to Mc Kats, who is also the Ambassador for the End Aids 2030 campaign.
