Young musician Joshua Baraka whose song Nana has crossed different borders has voiced a differing opinion from what many musicians discussing copyright law are saying.

Yet many musicians suggest that the implementation of the new copyright law will build the music business and empower artistes financially, Joshua Baraka says his colleagues are pushing a wrong agenda.

“Our music industry is just zig zag. We have a lot of things that need to be streamlined before we can push this copyright law. The law alone is not enough to build the industry,” says Baraka

Baraka is not a member of the Uganda National Musicians Federation although he was invited to join.
