The President of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA), Cinderella Sanyu supports Bobi Wine's statement that artists shouldn't be given handouts from the government but instead, the administration should fully invest in the arts industry.

"Everything he said in his statement is right. Artists should stop receiving handouts. The truth is artists wouldn't need government money if necessary policies were implemented. It's what we are trying to advocate for in UMA," she explains.

Cindy also thinks Kenzo's federation isn't focused on championing musicians' rights.
