Controversial events promoter Abbey Musinguzi, also known as Abitex, has taken legal action against singer Alien Skin following weeks of public disputes between them. Abitex is demanding payment of UGX 71 million within a week—a sum he claims he invested in the Nkwacho festival organized by Alien Skin.

The collaboration between Alien Skin and Abitex began after the singer faced an altercation with fellow artist Pallaso. Capitalizing on Pallaso's troubles, Abitex scheduled Alien Skin's concert on the same date as Pallaso's, effectively competing with him.

After achieving success with a well-attended concert at Freedom City, Alien Skin later proposed the Nkwacho festival, an idea conceived even before the "Sitya Danger" concert. Despite initially agreeing on terms and finances, conflicts arose during the planning process, leading to the festival's cancellation by Alien Skin.

Abitex, dissatisfied with the losses incurred, filed a lawsuit against Alien Skin, seeking compensation for various expenditures, including:

  • UGX 10 million as a deposit for the show
  • UGX 20 million paid for the venue
  • UGX 2.5 million paid to Galaxy FM for advertising
  • UGX 6 million for banners
  • UGX 2 million for audio and video advertisements
  • UGX 15 million for the public address system
  • UGX 16 million for other media expenses

Abitex is determined to hold Alien Skin accountable for the financial losses he claims to have suffered due to the festival's cancellation.
