Band singer Ronald Mayinja went into exile but still maintains a strong interest in the Ugandan music industry.

Mayinja, who claims to be a member of UMA (Uganda Musicians Association), argues that Kenzo's federation lacks legal standing because it lacks the necessary operational associations.

He contends that any federation must include operational associations, not just ones on paper, as seen in Kenzo's federation.

"I am a member of the Uganda Musicians Association, and I have great trust in it. I cannot join the federation because any legitimate federation must bring together operational associations. UMA did not join the federation, even though it is the only recognized Musicians Association in Uganda," he stated in an interview with a local television station.

Mayinja also believes that unity is beneficial for musicians as it fosters development.
