Masaka Tycoon Lwasa, was put behind bars last week over a debt of 20 million Ugandan shillings.
He was later released on cash bail. However, radio journalist Jenkins Mukasa revealed that various people had solicited money for the tycoon's release.
Lwasa has debunked the rumors and stated that no one solicited money for him. He used his personal funds to clear the debt, and he fully settled it.
"No one collected money for my release from prison, and whoever claims so should provide proof. I used my personal money to clear the debts and secure my release from prison," he said.
