The President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation, upon its formation, announced that the body is in place to mediate talks between conflicting musicians, among other things. Kenzo has, however, failed to do so. His efforts to mediate peace talks between Fik Fameika and David Lutaalo fell on deaf ears.
Both musicians stood their ground and refused to make changes to their concert dates, claiming to have booked the dates first.
Sources told this website that Eddy Kenzo even promised to offer full support in the promotion of the concert for whoever was willing to change dates, but both declined the offer.
"Their President met with both of them physically at different intervals, and no one is willing to move dates. They are sticking to the ones they announced at first; no one is even willing to listen to the promotion offer from the President," sources told this website.
Both musicians, Fik Fameika and David Lutaalo, are members of UNMF and have always backed Eddy Kenzo's leadership, making it seem like it could be easy for either of them to change concert dates for the good of the other.
