Dancehall musician Mudra, who is staging his maiden concert this Friday at Zoe Grounds, Lugogo, has revealed that he refused to work with some sponsors because of his religion.
As a devout Muslim, Mudra has strong faith and beliefs and couldn't accept sponsorship from alcohol brands.
"I refused to work with some sponsors because of my religion. As a Muslim, it doesn't sit well with me to work with alcohol brands, so I turned down their offers," he said in an interview with a local television station.
However, Mudra mentioned that alcohol will still be available for sale at the concert, as he acknowledges that some of his fans enjoy it.
