Popular comedian Herbert Ssegujja, commonly known as Teacher Mpamire, is unhappy with fellow comedians who have failed to establish boundaries in their work.

There is an ongoing debate about when and why comedians should limit the language they use and the skits they create while performing. Some comedians have faced public criticism for resorting to vulgarity in their attempts to make people laugh, while others have been reprimanded for making light of sensitive situations.

"Not everything should be turned into comedy. Let's have respect for comedy! We have invested a lot in this fraternity," posted Teacher Mpamire on his Facebook page.

His comments come in response to the criticism against comedians Sammie and Shawa, who have faced backlash on social media for mocking National Unity Platform leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine. Bobi Wine was injured after allegedly being hit by a tear gas canister in Bulindo, Wakiso District, during a scuffle between police and his team.

The two rising comedians, however, are unapologetic about their portrayal of Bobi Wine's situation and maintain that they will continue doing their job as comedians.
