The Member of Parliament for Nyendo Mukungwe Constituency, Mathias Mpuuga, has threatened to take legal action against NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi and fellow MP Allan Ssewanyana.

Mpuuga vowed to confront NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi and MP Allan Ssewanyana in court over accusations linking him to the imprisonment of Muhammad Ssegirinya.

Mpuuga criticized Kyagulanyi for spearheading what he calls a collapsed smear campaign against him.

The Commissioner of Parliament also accused Bobi Wine of sacrificing his supporters to security agents to prolong his political relevance.

"I feel obligated to also sympathize with the rank and file in the opposition. Some prefer to call foot soldiers. That is what you have in a leader: he will sacrifice you so that he can extend his shelf life in politics," he explained while addressing the press on Wednesday morning.

Mpuuga was responding to comments from Bobi Wine and Allan Ssewanyana that linked him to their own arrests and the imprisonment of the late Muhammad Ssegirinya.

In the same address, Bobi Wine also accused Mpuuga of collaborating with security organs in the arrest of his security detail, including Eddie Mutwe, Achilewo Kivumbi, Mugumya Gadaffi, among others.
