Musician Nina Roz was among the artists who, together with Eddy Kenzo, started the Uganda National Musicians Federation in 2023.

Nina Roz explained that she believed at the time the federation was focused on helping artists in general and fighting for their rights.

The singer and now turned politician, however, says that after some time, she realized its leaders, including Eddy Kenzo, had their agendas and personal interests, diverging from the goodwill of all artists.

"I thought it was for the good of all artists, but I found out it was a different story. The leaders had their own agendas. Kenzo, in particular, was interested in his government agendas," she explained.

Nina Roz, who was tasked with the morality role at the federation, says she left because the group lost focus.

Nina Roz has been one of the vocal critics of the federation. She has been on various media platforms calling out its leaders over alleged ties with the ruling government and sidelining the opposition.

She joins artists like King Saha, Spice Diana, and Ziza Bafana who have openly distanced themselves from the federation and its operations.
