Musician Spice Diana has been in the industry for over ten years. Throughout those years, she has maintained her position at the top and has been a prominent figure in discussions regarding Ugandan music.
She has also released countless hits, but one song stands out: the "Siri Regular" monster hit.
Spice Diana now says established artistes shouldn't be looking for hit songs. She explained that they should simply work to stay relevant and maintain their careers.
The regular hitmaker explained that a hit song is needed for artistes who are seeking a breakthrough. She revealed that she personally worked for a hit when she went to the studio and recorded "Osanula."
The singer believes established artistes should never be under pressure to produce a hit song. They should only work and release good music for their fans and music lovers.
"Established artistes should stop fighting for a hit. You are past that. I only needed a hit for my breakthrough song. As you grow, you maintain your name to do other things and to keep your career going. You should release music to stay relevant, but not feel pressured to create a hit song," she explained in an interview with a local television station.
The singer revealed that she is staying relevant today because of the music she continues to release, not just her hit songs.
