
Media personality Douglas Lwanga, known for his extensive knowledge of the Ugandan music industry as a promoter, emcee, and host of NBS After 5, recently shared his insights on the industry's progress.
In an interview with blogger Peng Peng, Lwanga commended new-school artists Ava Peace and Winnie wa Mummy for their contributions. "Let me give credit to the new school, Ava Peace, definitely she is doing a good job. Winnie wa Mummy, she is also doing well," he stated.
The NBS After 5 host also specifically acknowledged Jeff Kiwa for his significant role in Ava Peace's burgeoning music career.
Lwanga highlighted Kiwa's unique approach, emphasizing his deep passion for music beyond financial gain, as well as his active involvement in music creation and producer selection for individual songs.
"Jeff has a lot of things which make him outstanding. He loves music so much even beyond money. He also takes part in creation of the music and also selects the producer per individual song," Lwanga explained.
Douglas Lwanga expressed optimism about the future of the Ugandan music industry, believing it is on a positive trajectory for further development.
