The war of words between the promoters' camp and Eddy Kenzo's continues to intensify after Abitex announced a ban on Eddy Kenzo and other artistes from the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).
During a discussion on Bruno K's "Ekiboozi" program on TikTok, Abitex branded Kenzo the most selfish artiste in the industry.
The promoter explained that Kenzo never wishes others well. He charges highly for his shows, leaving promoters with nothing after staging his performances.
"Eddy Kenzo is selfish. His costs are very high, and even when he brings people to shows, the promoter leaves with nothing because of his high demands. People see a successful event due to the numbers who come to see him perform, but the promoter leaves in pain and tears," he explained.
Abitex further accused Kenzo and his manager, Martin Beata, of being self-centered and operating the UNMF as their personal business venture.
He vowed to continue engaging with stakeholders to ensure that promoters receive part of their money from the 30 billion Uganda shillings released by the government to the UNMF.
