Musician George Kigozi, also known as Geosteady, will remember this year for a long time. The singer spent the majority of it in a rehabilitation center, where he was treated for drug abuse and addiction.

He was admitted to the rehabilitation center by the Uganda National Musicians Federation and friends who believed he deserved a second chance. The singer left the center earlier this month and is back on his feet, working on a better life for himself.

Since leaving, Geosteady has expressed his gratitude to the fans and friends who stood by him during his difficult time in rehab. He explained that he is currently doing well and that his healing is ongoing. He has learned his lessons and believes the future is bright.

In the same post, Geosteady promised his fans and friends new music.

“Heartfelt gratitude to my amazing fans & friends for standing by me through it all. Your love & support mean the world. Here’s to healing, growth & brighter days ahead. New music dropping soon.” he wrote.

Geosteady's story of drug abuse and addiction highlights a larger problem affecting many people in Uganda's music industry.
