Rapper Fik Fameica has been a prominent figure in the music industry for nearly a decade, during which he has held several concerts.
Earlier this month, Fameica staged a successful concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala. However, its attendance was lower compared to his previous shows, leading some to suggest that it was a flop.
The rapper has since clarified that he doesn't stage concerts with the primary goal of making money. Instead, he organizes them for branding and to maintain his presence in the industry.
Fameica explained that he considers a concert successful if it simply recoups the money invested in its promotion, marketing, venue rental, and other related costs.
"We have different targets when staging concerts, but I personally don't look at money. I stage concerts for branding and career maintenance. As long as I get back the money invested in its organization, I consider it a success," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
Fik Fameica made these remarks while discussing the financial challenges associated with concerts, following Mun G's recent revelation that he did not profit from his show at the Serena Hotel this past August.
