Dancehall musician Ziza Bafana has declared that he will no longer perform at any of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s rallies, regardless of the money involved.

Bafana, who is known for his bold opinions, revealed that he has received several invitations to perform for the President but has always turned them down.

“I can never really perform at a rally of President Museveni. I’ve received invitations but I always turn them down. I’d rather go broke than perform at Sevo’s campaigns. I don’t want to get rich at the expense of Ugandans,” Bafana said.

The “Gyayo Ntekeyo” hitmaker added that he doesn’t want to be among artistes who support politicians while ordinary citizens continue to suffer.

Bafana, who is believed to sympathize with the National Unity Platform (NUP), recently attended Museveni’s album launch at Kololo on the invitation of Eddy Kenzo, but insists that won’t happen again.

“I attended the album launch because Kenzo invited me, not because of politics. But performing at rallies? Never again,” he emphasized.

Bafana concluded by branding artistes who continue to perform for the President as selfish and unappreciative of the struggles faced by Ugandans.
