Renowned songwriter and musician Dokta Brain has heaped praise on rising star Gloria Bugie, saying her voice is built for the international music scene.
Speaking in an interview, Dokta Brain revealed that Bugie’s vocal uniqueness and versatility set her apart from most musicians — not just in Uganda, but globally.
“Gloria Bugie has a unique voice with the ability to go international. She can do everything with her voice — it’s just that people don’t want to invest in such talents. With proper support, she can go very far,” he said.
Dokta Brain compared Gloria Bugie’s potential to artists like Joshua Baraka and Tems, noting that with enough investment, she can easily stand among Africa’s biggest musical exports.
He added that Uganda has plenty of hidden talent, but a lack of industry investment and management continues to hold many back.
