Musician Spice Diana has ruled out plans of staging a concert next year, marking a shift from her tradition of hosting major shows at the start of the year.

Speaking during an interview on a local podcast, the singer said organising a concert is not on her agenda, noting that the year moved too fast for her to prepare one.

“Actually, I don’t have plans for a concert next year. It’s too bad, but I think the year ended so quickly,” Spice Diana explained.

Over the past few years, Spice Diana has been known for holding highly attended January concerts, making her decision a surprise to many fans.

Despite shelving concert plans, the singer revealed she is focusing on alternative revenue streams, particularly through digital platforms.

She urged fellow artistes to embrace online spaces, saying the future of music income lies in digital consumption rather than physical events.

“I think we need to focus more on the digital side because there is money there—a lot of it, clean money. That’s where the world is going,” she said.

Spice Diana noted that most fans now access music through their phones, making streaming platforms a key avenue for growth and sustainability.

“Most of our fans hold phones. They are going to stream music,” she added.

However, she pointed out that the full benefits of digital monetisation will only be realised if government steps in to make the internet more affordable.

According to the singer, reducing internet costs would significantly boost online engagement, benefiting both artistes and businesses across the country.

Her comments come at a time when many musicians are reassessing traditional concert models amid rising costs and increasing interest in digital-first strategies.
