I Can Outperform Joshua Baraka In The Villages - Azawi

Swangz Avenue star Priscilla Zawedde has boldly claimed she can outperform fellow singer Joshua Baraka outside Kampala.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Azawi questioned Baraka’s reach across the country, describing him as more of an urban artist.

“I can stage an event in a stadium and pull out the crowd. However, Joshua Baraka can’t do it outside Kampala,” she said.

The singer went further to assert that her fan base stretches across multiple regions, giving her an advantage in upcountry performances.

“He can never outperform me outside Kampala. I can do it in Mbale, Jinja, and wherever upcountry,” she added.

Azawi’s remarks come at a time when Joshua Baraka is gaining recognition for his efforts to take Ugandan music to the international stage.

Despite acknowledging his success, Azawi insists that dominance across Uganda requires more than urban appeal—something she believes she has mastered.
