Dokta Brain Defends Joshua Baraka, Tells Critics to ‘Join Him’

Songwriter and singer Dokta Brain has come out strongly in defense of Joshua Baraka, urging critics to support rather than undermine him.

Joshua Baraka has recently been at the center of debate, with some artists—like Azawi—questioning his influence across the local Ugandan market despite his growing international presence.

However, Dokta Brain believes Baraka represents a major breakthrough for Uganda on the global stage.

“For long we didn’t have anyone to represent us musically on the international level… but now we have Joshua Baraka. Those who criticize should just join him because he is the man of the moment,” he said.

He compared Baraka’s rise to regional stars like Diamond Platnumz and Bien, who have successfully carried their countries’ music internationally.

Dokta Brain went even further, expressing confidence that Baraka could compete with African heavyweights such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido.
