Gracious Kadondi of the National Unity Platform (NUP) has been elected the 92nd Guild President of Makerere University.
Kadondi secured 6,801 votes, defeating her main challenger Hannah Karema, who garnered 5,787 votes.
The election marked a historic moment, as the race was dominated by two strong female candidates—reshaping the narrative of student politics at Uganda’s premier institution.
