Swangz Avenue singer Vinka has dismissed long-standing claims of rivalry among artistes signed to the record label, insisting that teamwork, not competition, is what drives their success.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Vinka said she does not view her fellow Swangz Avenue artistes as competitors, explaining that the real competition lies outside the label.

“This is a record label. I don't see it as competition among my labelmates. It's competition with the rest of the world. We support each other here; Azawi wrote Love Panic for me, and I have four collaborations with Winnie Nwagi. There shouldn't be unhealthy competition. We all roll as a movement because we must make it together as a unit,” she said.

A Culture of Teamwork

Vinka pointed to collaborations and songwriting partnerships within Swangz Avenue as proof that the artistes are focused on lifting one another rather than competing internally.

She highlighted Azawi writing her song Love Panic and her multiple collaborations with Winnie Nwagi as examples of the label's collaborative spirit.

'We Must Win Together'

According to Vinka, the unity among Swangz Avenue artistes has played a key role in the label's continued success and growth.

She believes that by working together and supporting each other's careers, the artistes are better positioned to compete with the wider music industry rather than among themselves.
