There is good news for fans of entertainment presenter Brian “Makona” Ssemanda after Next Media CEO Kin Kariisa revealed that the presenter is steadily recovering from injuries sustained in a road accident.

Makona was involved in a serious crash in Wakiso District on August 7, 2026, leaving him hospitalised at Case Hospital in Kampala.

Following a visit to the hospital on August 13, Kariisa shared an encouraging update about the presenter’s condition, saying Makona is responding well to treatment and could soon return home.

“Just checked on Makona, he’s getting better,” Kariisa wrote on X.

Kariisa also thanked members of the public who have continued praying for and supporting the presenter during his recovery.

“Thank you all for your kind support and prayers. Thanks to the Case Hospital team for their excellent care. He should be home soon. 🙏”

Makona’s Accident

The accident reportedly occurred at around 2am on August 7 in Namulanda, near Stabex in Wakiso District.

Makona was subsequently admitted to Case Hospital, where he has been receiving treatment.

The latest update from Kariisa has brought relief to his colleagues, friends, fans and well-wishers who have been following his condition.

With his health reportedly improving, Makona could soon be leaving hospital and beginning the next stage of his recovery at home.
