Veteran singer Ronald Mayinja has heaped praise on King Saha following his recently concluded concert at Kololo Airstrip, describing the show as one of the biggest music events ever staged in Uganda and East Africa.

The Tuli Ku Bunke hitmaker said Saha achieved something that musicians of previous generations could only dream of, particularly considering the scale, organisation and promotion behind the concert.

“What Saha has done is something no one has ever done in Uganda and East Africa at large. I have always said that the musicians who came after us would do things that even we never did,” Mayinja partly said.

“That Is Legendary”

Mayinja further reflected on the challenges older generations of musicians would have faced trying to stage a concert on a similar scale.

According to him, even established legends would have needed to unite and promote the event extensively to attract such a crowd.

“Even the legendary musicians, for us, would have had to come together as musicians and advertise for a very long time to fill a venue like Nakivubo. But Saha filled this stadium, organised it, announced it and did everything. That is legendary,” he added.

Saha’s Big Win for Ugandan Music

For Mayinja, King Saha's achievement goes beyond one successful concert, as he believes it demonstrates how far Uganda's music industry has evolved.

Saha's Kololo performance has already sparked debate among fans and industry players over the biggest concerts ever staged in Uganda, with the veteran singer firmly placing the young star's achievement among the industry's landmark moments.
