Musician King Saha has opened up about the resistance he says he faced from some fellow artistes ahead of his recent concert, claiming some never expected the show to succeed.
Speaking during a TikTok Live on Thursday, Saha said some musicians doubted whether he could successfully stage the event and were surprised when he eventually pulled off the show.
According to the singer, some even attended the concert simply to see for themselves whether he would actually fill the venue.
“Some musicians never wanted to see my show succeed. They were shocked by its success and came to the show to prove reality. Some of the musicians never expected to see the venue being given to me,” he partly said.
Saha Calls for Unity
The singer used the experience to call for greater unity among musicians, arguing that artistes should support one another instead of waiting to celebrate each other's failures.
Saha also revealed that he was disappointed by the poor turnout of fellow musicians at his last press conference held at Next Media, saying several artistes who had been invited failed to attend.
For Saha, the music industry would benefit more if artistes stood together and supported each other's projects rather than competing in ways that undermine one another.
