Comedian Shawa has opened up about the financial pressure he faces, revealing that despite being the richest person in his family, he is also struggling with heavy loans.
Shawa said much of the financial burden comes from supporting family members, adding that people often do not see the responsibilities behind the lifestyle changes that come with success.
He jokingly attributed his inability to gain weight to the pressure of servicing his loans.
“For example, I am the richest person in my family, but I'm drowning in loans. Loans are taking me and are on my neck. Why do you think I don't gain weight? It's loans,” he said.
The comedian also spoke about the pressure that can come with success, saying people close to successful individuals can sometimes misunderstand their improved lifestyles.
According to Shawa, acquiring things such as a car does not mean a person has abandoned the people they grew up with.
“People need to know that we can all win together. Someone can think that if you buy a car, you will no longer be on their level. That's really wrong,” he added.
Shawa’s comments highlight the financial responsibilities that can come with success, particularly when an individual is expected to support family members while also managing personal expenses and debts.
