Next Media journalist Brian Ssemanda, popularly known as Macona, has returned to the Next Media Park after spending several months on sick leave following a serious road accident.
The accident, which occurred a few months ago, claimed the lives of two of his colleagues, while Macona survived with severe injuries that required extensive medical treatment.
He spent time in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before beginning a lengthy recovery journey.
Speaking during his return to the workplace, Macona expressed gratitude for surviving the accident and said he believes his life was spared for a reason.
“God has a purpose as to why I’m alive today, and I don’t take that for granted,” he said.
Macona also revealed that he is ready to resume his professional duties, promising to return with renewed energy.
“I’m back bigger and better,” he added.
The journalist is expected to officially resume his duties this week as he continues rebuilding his career after the accident.
