Musician Victor Ruz has opened up about his absence from the music scene, revealing that he took a break because he felt the industry had become dominated by what he described as “bubble gum music.”

Ruz has been largely away from the spotlight for nearly two years, during which he says he took time away from releasing music and observing the direction of the industry.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, the singer explained that he was frustrated by the amount of short-lived music dominating the market at the time.

“I took a break from music because the music market was flooded with lots of bubble gum music at that time, like two years ago. You know that music has no much impact and is short-lived? That music that has no journey was too much on social media and people were overhyping it,” he said.

According to Ruz, he felt the trend was making it difficult for music with a lasting message and journey to receive the attention it deserved.

However, the singer says his break is now over and he is ready to return to the industry and reclaim his position.

Ruz is expected to release new music as he begins the next chapter of his career.
