Reporter: How best would you describe the kind of music you do?

Naira Ali: Well, to begin with, I sing for the soul and to inspire. My music is a fusion of feelings, emotions, reactions to our day to day life making it hard for me to pin it to a particular genre. What I can say, it’s a fusion of different styles.

Reporter: Let’s talk about music, who is your closest competition?

Naira Ali: hehehehe (laughs) well; I think every female artiste has got a little beat of influence in the industry. We are all trying our best so everybody is competition.  I have tried to play my game differently to stand out as a brand.

Reporter: Do you write your own music?

Naira Ali: I rarely write my own music. I believe I am a better singer than I am a writer. So, I leave that to those that do it best. Although I play a big part in deciding and choosing what song I sing, I must connect with it. My greatest inspiration is love.

Reporter: If not music what else would you do?

Naira Ali: Well, I am glad and blessed to be a very talented woman. I do art. I am a good graphic designer.

But I would make a fashion designer (I will pursue it soon).

Reporter: Are you dating?

Naira: Smiles... My dating life is the only little piece of me I would like to keep to myself and not splash out to the public.

My man appreciates his privacy and trusts me. He is not interested in getting into media. I believe affection is between two people and should stay that way.

Reporter: Sex or Money what wins your heart?

Naira Ali: Chuckles... well, you need both because they all play a very important role in my life.

Reporter: Anything weird about your body, what would you change?

Naira Ali: it’s so weird that I don’t think I am perfect and there are so many flaws I see on my body but trust me, I wouldn't  change a thing. Have learned to appreciate myself just the way I am.

Reporter: What does the future hold for Naira?

Naira Ali: Ohh, my future is bright. I believe I have just started my journey and there is a lot in store for me. I can’t even begin to break everything down right now. Just watch the space…
