Rapper Fik Fameica released his first single "pistol" in 2016 but his breakthrough was after dropping " Byenyanya" which later became a club banger. It was followed with "Kachima" which features Wembley dancer, "Kutama", 'Gwe Abisobola" Ft Byaxxy,"Mafia" and now, "My property".
In just one year, he has been endorsed by big international brands including Wizkid, this was during a press conference at Serena hotel on 6th December 2017.
Over the weekend, South African rapper Casper Nyovest performed alongside Fik Fameica at Garden city.
The two later went Jahlive studios to remix "Mafia" jam.
To put the icing on the cake, Fik Fameica was announced Artiste of the year and best breakthrough artiste at the just concluded Zzina awards.
Many people have come out to debate on the future of this young rapper.
According a one experienced artist manager whose identity we won’t reveal said, ”If a new artiste like him wins Artiste of the year accolade what else is left for him to achieve."
Well, here are some of the few aspects he needs to tackle to remain relevant.
•Collaborations.
It's high time Fik Fameica tapped into the audiences of fellow singers other than just his young followers.
For example, artists like Rema, David Lutalo will introduce him to another market.
•Invest in music
At this time, Fik Fameica needs to take music as a business which requires a lot of discipline other than a hobby.Most artists just take music as a talent which doesn’t require financial input, they milk the cow minus feeding it.Fik Fameica should shoot good videos to appeal to the international market.
•Management
A good manager must find good business deals for him like brand endorsements. He also needs to get a creative songwriter to help singer from copycatting other people's songs.
•Set bigger goals
He has achieved much in a shorter period of time and setting new targets works best for now. He needs to tap into the international market by getting collaborations with artists like Drake, Wizkid among others.
•Should not struggle to remain relevant
He should go with the flow of the milk as much as possible and when the hype wears out, he shouldn't struggle because that is the time to be more creative.
