Uganda Performing Rights Society (UPRS) issued a directive that in 2022, all radio and TV stations will start paying musicians for using their content.

But Bishop  Kiganda, the proprietor of Kingdom TV and FM believes otherwise.

According to the man of God, gospel musicians don’t deserve to be paid for their work. He argues that it is God's work that they are doing.

He says many gospel artists often compare themselves to secular artists and that where the problem begins.

However, gospel musicians contend that they invest money and a lot of time in composing songs, and shooting videos, they deserve to be paid.

Bishop Kiganda vowed never to pay a penny to gospel musicians who get airplay on his stations.
