Cindy is confident of upcountry support

Cindy Sanyu hopes to remain the leader of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA).

The incumbent will be battling it out in the forthcoming elections with King Saha who has the backing of the biggest artists in the country including Bobi Wine.

But Cindy Sanyu has worked so hard in uniting upcountry musicians and making them part of the association.

She is confident that they will vote for her, unlike King Saha who is popular in the central region where most artists are not registered members of UMA.

 “I have support upcountry. I worked so hard in uniting musicians outside Kampala. They will, vote for me,” Cindy said. 

Maurice Kirya was one of the aspiring candidates but chickened out of the race on nomination day.
