Dancehall singer King Micheal has vowed to organize elections for the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) saying that the people who organized the online voting failed to do a good job.

“I don’t think virtual elections will work here in Uganda. I’m going to organize elections since I am also a leader in UMA,” he claimed.

Michael has been serving as the representative of dancehall artists for the past years, although he isn’t seeking re-elections.

“My elections will be for lining up behind the candidates. I invite those who are in support of the idea to reach out to me,” he concluded.

It should be noted that UMA elections were canceled on Monday after King Saha and his supporters claimed the voting system was hacked and the whole process was marred by malpractices.
