Luba secured a court order from the High court stopping Eddy Kenzo from performing in Uganda until they settle the case.

Luba confirms he signed an agreement with Kenzo and paid him Shs 120M but when Covid-19 happened in 2020, the event was postponed.

This year, Kenzo proceeded to do it alone without involving Luba Events.

Luba says he had previously written to Kenzo warning him against staging the festival which was his idea.

“Kenzo approached us with the idea of staging a concert then we sold him the idea of a festival,” says Luba.

Luba was among the Promoters who were compensated by the government for losses incurred after failing to stage the show during the lockdown.

He, however, says he had already paid Kenzo and signed an agreement that is still standing regardless of the compensation from the government.
